Xarelto is anticoagulant medication that the Doctor has advised you prophylactically to avoid any ischemic attacks due to blood clots. Hence its very useful and can be life saving. however, the range of its side effects can include easy bleeding on minor injury to weakness of one side of body. Hence in your case I will advice that you may see your doctor. Further it is advisable to reduce the dose of Tab. Xarelto by 5mg (take half tablet) for four days and note any changes in intensity of itching in effected half side of the body. If you note any notable changes in intensity of itching then you may need to reduce your dose for future with consultation of your doctor by adding some other remedy. If you do not feel any change by reducing your dosage apply petroleum gelly on effected side of body as it may be because of localized xerosis that is common in old age.
