What Causes Itching And Burning Sensation In Anus?

For the past 5 yrs I have been having a rip in my anus. Sometimes I can get up to 3 or more. I have tried changing my diet but that didn t help. A lot of the times it will itch and burn and get a wet feel to it. What can I do about this or Who should I see about this?

Welcome to HealthCare Magic. Thank you for posting your query.
I can understand your concern.

You could be suffering from anal fissure or solitary rectal ulcer or external haemarrhoids. It would have been great had I examined you on my own.

I would suggest you to
-     Drink loads of water
-     Avoid oily,spicy food
-     Have a diet rich in fibres
-     I would start tablet Pantoprazole . Your doctor can guide on the exact dosage
-     I would also start syrup Lactulose to soften your stool
- Get a blood haemoglobin , total count , ESR done - to look at the amount of blood loss.
-     Avoid straining during stool

I would also suggest you to visit a surgeon . He/she can examine you and correlate clinically.

Hope this helps.
