What Causes Itching And Discoloration In Legs/hands In A Child?
hello dr. my son age 10 for past 3 years he is suffering from alopesia totalis and now the hairs of both sides are coming but my problem is since 3 months he is suffering from itching and on hands it appears as discolouration but in the legs it is black patches and continuously itching and he is using medicinal calamine but of no use. pl. help Hena

Can you send us a picture of the lesions? Rashes with itching can suggest atopic dermatitis or contact dermatitis among few other conditions. Treatment depends on the cause and include steroid creams and antihistamines. Kindly consult a dermatologist.
