Hello doctor. I m a nearly 23 year old guy. I m having an itchy bum with redness, and there is also a discharge that has a fishy odour. It s been about a week since I m having this problem. I m vegetarian, I don t drink (at all) and I don t smoke. I have done some research online and it seems that I might be suffering from anal yeast infection (hence fishy odour?). I ve always had very good overall hygiene but I also read that too much washing with soap can irritate the problem further. So I clean myself with warm water only these days, even after a bowel movement. I m considering seeing a rectal specialist in 2 days time if the problem does not clear up on its own.
