What Causes Itching And Irritation In Groin Area?

About four days ago i noticed a slight itching irritation on my groin area. It was in the area where the elastic on my underwear was and also in the area around that, close to pubic hair. There were about 3-4 blister like lesions and looked like they were pus filled. But there was no pus, just a yellowish top with a liquid underneath that. They dont really hurt but itch. I thought they were going away this morning but i noticed more itching and i have a couple on the left side also. When the yellow tops are removed the area stays red but seems to be drying up. But more have developed. I stopped using perfumed body washes in that area a couple of months ago. I have had herpes for 30 yrs and these blister like lesions arent painful like that. I tske ayclovir daily. I am using detergent that i have used in the past, but,not in a few months. I have had no fever, other pain, nausea or other symptoms that i have noticed. Any ideas? Thank you
