Hello,
The symptom can be suggestive of
contact dermatitis, caused by latex condom, or allergy from certain soaps, detergents, etc. He can take antihistamine at bedtime to get rid of
allergic reaction like itching. He can also apply ointment
Hydrocortisone on the affected area to get rid of itching. He should use non latex condoms and take care of his hygiene. If you have bacterial infection, get clinically examined by a Gynae and get treated.
Contact dermatitis is commonly treated by applying corticosteroid creams on the affected area. Get him clinically examined and evaluated to rule out any injury or trauma, infection, certain skin conditions like lichen sclerosis, or vitiligo, that is causing the symptoms. Lichen sclerosis is a lifelong condition that is given symptomatic treatment.
Diagnosis of Vitiligo is confirmed by clinical evaluation and
skin biopsy. It is treated by applying anti-inflammatory corticosteroid creams. Ointments containing tacrolimus are helpful. Get him clinically examined, if vitiligo is diagnosed, he may be recommended treatment by
light therapy and surgery by his treating doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
