What Causes Itching, Burning Sensation And Milky White Discharge?

I think I have a yeast infection but I'm not quite sure. I have the same itching burning symptoms, but rather than a milky white discharge it's a dark reddish brown color. What is wrong with me?! I am not suppose to start my period for another couple of weeks, and I am on birth control and have been taking it regularly each night. Help!
