What Causes Itching In Legs, Arms, Neck And Sensitive Face?
Itching like crazy for over 2 -3 weeks. I originally had a cortisone shot for what I thought was an allergic reaction to raspberries with a weeks worth of steroids. The rash is gone, but I am itching on my legs, arms and neck. Sometimes even my face. My face is also very sensitive right now when I wash it, though I have been using the same cleaner forever. I did go out in the sun and got burned super easy (again, something that I don t normally do - burn). Please help - I have not had a good night sleep in 2 to 3 weeks.
Hi. As per your case history you are having allergic dermatitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid using any new products like soap or perfume. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
