What Causes Itching In Upper Arms, Ankles And Shoulders?

I am itching at night and when I lean back in a chair. Can t seem to stop scratching. Took 2 benedryl last night and sprayed with solarcaine. Knocked me out so I did get some sleep. Areas affected are back of upper arms, across shoulders, head, and ankles.
