What Causes Itching Inside Mouth And Lips And Sore Throat?

Hi, I have come down with a cough/cold/ sore throat over the last 2 days and since waking up this morning, i have constant itching on the inside of my mouth and round my lips. I have never had this before and havent taken anything different to normal which could cause a reaction. Its getting quite unbareable, do you have any suggestions?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain itching inside the mouth while suffering from cough cold and sore throat can be either due to viral infection while other causes can be allergic reaction to any medication or food, inflammation inside the mouth etc..
I would suggest you to take anti allergics like Benadryl or Allegra..
You can gargle with 1:1 solution of milk of magnesia and benadryl..
Do warm saline gargles..
Avoid spicy and hard foods..
Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Motrin..
Maintain a good oral hygiene..
In case of no resolution consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise you throat swab culture and complete blood picture for confirming the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly..
