What Causes Itching On Back, Legs And Arms?

hello Dr. I have been having an itch on my body for a year now which I cannot get rid of and doctors cannot give me an answer. It used to itch , especially at night now it itches all day but never leaves any marks. I cannot understand because when I am asleep I do not realize it but I itch in my sleep and wake up with scratch marks. It seems to flare up only in certain areas. back, legs and part of my arms. any information you can give me would be well appreciated. thank you

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of itching on back, legs and arms which seems to be due to hair follicle infection by bacteria and due to heat rashes.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you maintain the cleanliness of the area and keep it dry. You should take a diet rich in multivitamins and apply betnovate cream. You should apply topical antibacterial ointment mupirocin on it. Wear loose clothes. Take the oral antibiotic course as well. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription.
