What Causes Itching On The Inside Of Ear?

I have an incessant itching on the inside under my ear and jawbone. ENT did CT and xray thinking sialendenitis and/or sarcodosis. Negative! There is swelling and hardness of the gland and soreness. It gets sore worse when I am rubbing my face very hard to control the itching that I can t get to? Any ideas? This is maddening!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of incessant itching in the ear, under the ear and near jawbone. Consultation with an ENT, CT scan revealed nothing.
No sialeadenitis no sarcoidosis as thought by your ENT.
There is swelling and hardness of the gland and soreness.
The probable cause can be an allergic phenomenon or affection of the area by some neurolgical problems can be thought of like post-herpetic and so on.
It is better to get a second opinion of another ENT Surgeon to get a proper opinion and proper further treatment as per the findings.
If the itching is severe, it is better to take another opinion of a Dermatologist.
