What Causes Itching Prior To Bowel Movement With Tenesmus?

Hi i had an anal polyp remove about 8 weeks ago now and since then i have had a couple of issues i have never had before. The day before a bowl movement i get an itchy bottom and i dont get much warning before going (i get the urge but if i dont go within a few minute i am almost pooping myself) Do you know why any of this is happening?

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read facts of your query and reviewed it in context to your query health issues.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query the reply of your query is-
Post-polypectomy Acute Proctitis.
Sever infection and accompanied inflammation leads to excessive mucous brown black discharge from oozing/ hemorrhage and presents as tenesmus with itching-which is from Proctitis with infection of the anal valves.
Due to this irritation of the anal sphincter the voluntary control is lost partially due to hypersensitive ano-proctal region.
Other causes of such a pain need to be ruled out by Consulting Surgeon who would do proctoscopy with xylocain jelly application and would assess the extent of ano-proctitis in your case.
Do's -suggested for your case-
Check with Surgeon in consultation with your family doctor.
Seitz bath x 2 times a day with warm dettol solution
Tab Ciplox-Oz-1 x 2 times x 7-10 days to control ano-proctitis.
Tab Motrin-400 mg x 2 times for 5-7 days
Low solid intake with High fluid intake x 7-10 days
Banana Milk Shake - to reduce the liquid stools and re-infection locally.
Itchy bottom is from -toxic leaking mucus discharge and due to farting from uncontrolled anal sphincter action.
Siloderm Oint locally in perianal skin are wound control itching from caustic/frictional skin erosions.

Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors, till you verify with your attending doctors.
Need to Check with Surgical -specialist if need be, if things don't recover.

-Other causes need to be verified with your family GP doctor and team of -Surgical-Specialist doctors, as the facts may be different what you submitted.

-For this Second opinion from Surgical specialist-is needed who would do proper investigation after proper physical assessment to resolve your health issues.
-for early recovery-please follow above do's which would resolve your complex health issues.

Hope this would help you to treat your health issues in the best way possible.

Welcome for any further query in this regard.
Good Day!!
