What Causes Itching Sensation And Redness On Underarms?
I have very good hygiene and I shower at least once daily. I have many allergies and I thought that the itching and redness appearing on my underarms was the result of histamine production. I have red blotches on my chest and waist due to allergies. I was checking my right underarm to see how much redness there is and I saw something moving along an underarm hair strand. It fell into the sink and I could see that it is light brown, with several legs, but I cannot be sure since it is small and I did not have my glasses handy. I examined my underarm more closely and removed a couple more. I didn t see any evidence under the other arm, but I am sure that I have been bitten there also since there is the same redness. I have alot of dense body hair but I have only found these pests in my underarm hair. Any suggestions what this bug could be and how to eliminate it?

After going through your description, I will keep a possibility of pediculosis pubis. It is a lice infection, called Phthirus pubis.
The main symptom is itching of the affected area. This is often worse at night.
Pubic lice infest pubic hair. They can also sometimes affect the hair of the armpit, eyebrows, eyelashes, beard and torso.
It is considered to be an STD. Therefore patients with pubic lice infection should be investigated for other STD's as well. However, lice can also be spread by contact with towels, undergarments and bedding of an infected person
Diagnosis is usually obvious on clinical examination.
Single whole body overnight application of permethrin lotion is curative in most.
This is a prescription product and therefore I suggest you to talk to your doctor for the needful.
