I have shingles, and I have been taking valacylovir 10m three times a day since Friday night. I am also taking 200mg of Gabapentin three times a day for pain. Yesterday I noticed some itching on both sides of my waist. Today the itching increased, and I appear to have a light rash on the outer part of both of my thighs. It has increased over the day. Should I discontinue both medicines for now? My shingles pain which was severe has diminished over the last couple of days. Previously, the pain kept me awake all night. I am due for one more dose of each medication tonight.
