What Causes Itchy Dry Patches On The Thighs And Buttocks?

I have noticed spots of itchy scaly skin eruptions on my thighs and buttocks. One of the spots has grown and formed a raised circle of redness . The rest of the spots (about 7-8) on different places on the buttocks remain small but still itch. I keep scratching it. Is there something I can put on it and anything I can do to get rid of this problem?

My Dear

Welcome to Healthcaremagic

You look like having ring worm infection. The following steps can get you rid of this problem
1 Keep the area dry and do not allow sweat to accumulate
2 In most patients of this problem, Miconazole or Econazole solution or cream lead to fast resolution
3 Oral antifungals like Terbinafine twice a day provide boost to local medications and result in faster clearing
4 Anti allergics like Cetirizine 10 mg daily provide relief from itching. Please take this at night so that if it causes any drowsiness then it does not interfere with your normal routine.

Hopefully you will be well soon.
