What Causes Itchy Head, Crawling Sensation On The Head With Black Specks?
Following a bout of headlice I have developed a few other problems. I initially believed these symptoms were to do with me being reinfested by headlice but my doctor has checked my hair on a few occassions and he says he can see no signs of a recurrance.
The main symptoms I have developed are:
- itchy head
- crawling sensations that occur particularly when I am in bed or wear certain clothes
- black specks on my pillow when I wake up in the morning and on the floor when I comb my hair
- eyelashes falling out
- dry eyes
The headlice have made me very stressed and run down. I would say that my immune system is very low at the moment. My doctor believes that there is a pschological element to my problem however I believe that these symptoms are being caused by a parasite as it improves (but does not go away completely) when I use certain treatments.
I am currently tumble drying bedding, hoovering like mad and changing bed sheets every 4 days. I would love to find a solution as I just do not have time to do all of this!
