What Causes Itchy Knot On Left Labia?
i have a knot in my left labia that is the size of about a nickle. it doesnt hurt rather its a little itchy. but it just appeared overnight and in three days its size has grown from pea size to the now nickle size. I thought it may be ingrown hair or pimple in odd place so i tried to "pop" it. but it doesn't "pop"? should i be worried?

It might be beginning of hair root infection.
Itching indicates some fungal infection in it.
It usually occurs after rough,forceful unprotected sex,severe perspiration,bad hygiene.
Take proper local care.Avoid tight undergarment.
Avoid sex till get complete cure.
Clean it properly with antiseptic liquid,make it dry properly with clean towel and start to apply anti fungal and antibacterial cream.
It will subside within 5 to 7 days ,otherwise also start oral antibiotic and anti fungal medicines under guidance of your gynecologist.

An itchy knot in left labia can be due folliculitis (inflammation of the hair root), bartholin cyst inflammation (inflammation of the Bartholin's gland) or due to a skin lesion.
Bartholin gland inflammation is the commonest cause of enlargement in this region.
However, it is associated with pain in majority of cases.
You need to consult your gynecologist for clinical examination for exact diagnosis.
A folliculitis is an infectious process and antibiotics are needed for its treatment.
In case of Bartholin;s cyts inflammation, de-roofing of the cyst is needed along with antibiotics.
