What Causes Itchy Penis Along With Severe Weight Loss?
Hi i had a casual fling aa few years back and ever since ive had bad health problems. Weight loss. Tingles in back. Skin problems, itchey penis you name it ive got it. Ive been to sti clinic for a full check up numours times and they keep saying im ok and testing negative for hiv. Ive since found out that this casual partner has hiv. Is it possible i have it and its not been detected? Help!
Hi. As per your case history of itchy penis and weight loss, my treatment advice is - 1. Hiv may be negative if tested in window period, so get a repeat check up after 3 months. 2. You may be just having a fungal infection on penis leading to itching. 3. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it. 4. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for itching. 5. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, fluconazole and itraconazole taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
