hello doctor. My mother has a rash in lower back area.It itches a lot. First the color of the skin was like red than the color of the skin changed to black.2 years before she had a same problem then she was recovered now again the same thing is happening to her....

Hello. Whats your mother's age? I think it could be senile purpura. Its a relatively common condition in older population. It comes on its own, goes through color changes and then disappears. If tats the case, management options are limited. Its because of age related changes in blood vessels and skin. Avoid trauma. Hope it helps.
