I can understand your concern for itchy red spots on the buttocks of your kid. After analyzing your query with best diligence I can make out a possibility of simple hives in your query. The random appearance of the red spots laong with temporary stays with self subsidence gives an indication for the same. It is quite common in kids if they have some worm infestation. I suggest my patients to take wormicidal tablet under a dermatological supervision. For itching and red spots an antihistamine can be taken. I prefer to give Des-loratadine for two times as per the body weight. In case if there is increase in the spots then can meet a dermatologist for best guidance. Take care.
