What Causes Itchy , Soreness On Hard Lump Present On Left Side Of Head?

I have had a hard lump (size of a gumball) on the back left side of my head for about 3 weeks. Recently it has became very sore. The soreness is all on the same side of my head. I have also starting having an itchiness all over my head. Unsure of what this is and if I should be worried.

Hi,

You seem to have cystic lesion on the scalp. It may be sebaceous cyst or some other. Itching and erosions may be there due to poor hygiene. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. Antihistaminics like levocetirizine may be taken to relieve itching.antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs may be taken to improve secondary infection. The bump may be removed surgically by surgeon under local anaesthesia, for which you consult surgeon. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
