What Causes Itchy Spots On Thighs After Anesthia?

I had endovenus plebectomy completed 3 weeks ago on my legs. About a week ago on my thighs the area through which the anesthia was delivered, several spots inside the thighs, flared up ref and were itchy. My doc told me to put cortisone 10 on it, use arnica Montana and take Claritin. It marks are still red, not as inflamed. I am concerned about these scarring my legs and if there is anything else I can take to get rid of the quicker. Please advise

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction.

I suggest using Cetirizine.

I also suggest using Hydrocortisone cream for local application.

The symptoms will relieve in a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
