What Causes Itchy Swelling In Eyelid?

My husband s left eyelid is very badly swollen. Its happened before due to an allergic reaction. He rubbed his eye this morning when it was itchy and may have gotten something in it that was on the dog. He has taken about three benadryl so far (25 mg). About an hour apart, its only decreased a small amount.

Itchy swelling points towards some ALLEEGIC component... For itching, you need local treatment in form of drops : naphazoline + Chlorpheramine maleate
And for swelling try warm compressions + tab diclofenac + serration peptidase three times a day along with ranitidine / omeprazole twice a day...
