i have a ping pong ball size knot on my head on the left side closer to the back and higher then my ear. ive had the knot for several years but it was at least 4 times smaller and has grown to its present size in the last few months. its extremely tender and itches like crazy. the hair that was growing on it has a singed feeling to it and its all crinkled. occasionally i have mild pains that shoot through my head around the area. my insurance clears on oct. 1st and ill probably have to wait another couple weeks to see a dr. any idea of what it could be???
