What Causes Itchy Throat And Cough?

HI I've been having a itchy throat and persistent cough for the past two weeks. It doesn't seem to be getting any better. I can't sleep at night because of the tickle in my throat. I'm not experiencing any other symptoms besides the tickle in my throat.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for the query.
It is post nasal discharge due acute sinusitis .
Start Steam Inhalation ,antiseptic mouthwash , Plenty of fluids , Antihistaminic levocetirizine + montelukast combination , Antibiotic azithromycin ,Saline nasal drop for 10 days.
Certainly above treatment will give you much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level then consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential.
Hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
