What Causes Joint Pain After ACL Reconstruction?

I had an acl reconstruction (using hamstring) last year and 3 meniscus repairs (some of which may have failed said consulant). I have a boney lump to the right of my patella tendon between the main scar n the little ones which is a lot bigger than last time I looked. It is not painful (although I do still have constant pain in the joint). Is it something to worry about or should I ignore it?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

You may need MRI to see for any further ligament injury.

Possibility of antigenic reaction is there.
Antigenic reaction may be aseptic.

You may need blood investigation like CBC, CRP, ESR, bone scan or joint Aspirate.
You need to do proper physiotherapy protocol to strengthen your quadriceps and hamstring muscles.

Knee support like knee cap or hinged knee brace will be helpful,

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.
