What Causes Joint Pains?

painful joints I have pain in almost all of my joints, my knees, elbows, ankles, wrists, shoulders, hips, back, and neck. Does this mean that i could have RA. If I am on my feet for a while my ankles start to hurt. My elbows hurt if they are bent for a while or just straight. some times my fingers get numb, it will start with my pinky finger, then go to my ring finger, then it will just be my whole hand.

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

Please perform a blood test to rule out RA. If the test is positive then RA could be the diagnosis, but if it's negative then we need to look out for other factors like nerve impingement.

An MRI will be advised and post which the treatment shall begin with anti-inflammatory Medications or pain killers.

In either of the case above - I will advice you to use cervical soft collar, do hot water fermentation, perform static neck exercises, shoulder stabilization exercises, inter-scapular muscle strengthening exercises, upper limb strengthening exercises, core stability exercise, spinal muscle strengthening exercises, hip muscle strengthening exercises, static Quadriceps, static hamstring, straight leg raise etc to improve the joint stability and muscle strength.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
