What Causes Kidney Enlargement In Fetus?

My daughter is at 28 wkspregnant in just two days. She had her 3rd ultrasound now. We live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and she had her first two at Mercy Hospital and her 3rd at Unity Point (St. Lukes). Today the Dr saw her and they are sending her to University of Iowa for her fourth ultrasound as one of her little unborn baby boy's kidney is enlarged. what are some causes, worries, possible things we will/would be to expect and they are looking at.

There are numerous reasons why fetal kidney enlargement occurs.

1) Vesicoureteral reflux

2) Non-obstructive hydronephrosis

3) Ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction

4) Ureterocele

5) Posterior urethral valves

6) Ureterovesical junction (UVJ) obstruction

7) Megaureter

8) Multicystic Dysplastic Kidney

9) Ectopic ureter

10) Neurogenic/nonneurogenic bladder
But its also depend on whats the size of kidney and how much is dilatation of renal pelvis
But mostly in mild enlargement you shoul not worry
Thanks
