What Causes Knot Behind The Left Ear With Pain?

Hi, I have a knot behind my left ear since Dec. It now hurts, now behind my right ear hurts. it also hurts along both sides of my jaw bone. What should I do? fyi I have lymph nodes on both sides of my neck (discovered last year). My Dr. appointment is later this month

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of lymph nodes enlargement in hte cervical region, hence the knots behind the ears are obviously post-auricular lymph nodes unless proved otherwise.
I would advise you the following:
Go for FNAC of the larger and the post-auricular lymph nodes.
Consult an ENT Surgeon
Tests of blood and urine.
Biopsy of one of hte nodes if required.
This will give the proper diagnosis and the plan for further treatment.
