What Causes Knot Inside Anus And Blood In Stool?

A month ago I noticed a pea sized knot right on the inside of my anus...it wasn't bothersome however it started bothering me today. Yesterday i did have a stool where i had bleeding. The knot is still there but now I have a quarter size very painful lump right beside it that protrudes out. Its dark in color. I'm worried about the knot and now having this. I am very healthy and active. No health problems. I just had my second child 14 months ago.

Hello,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

In my opinion you may suffer from hemorrhoids.

Bleeding during bowel movements (which is the most common sign), itching or pain in your anal region are the symptoms of hemorrhoids.

Sometimes hemorrhoids can become thrombosed and they turning blue/purple. If they hurt so much your doctor may remove the thrombosed hemorrhoid which should stop the pain.

However anal bleeding should always be checked to rule out more serious causes. So that's why I would recommend you to meet family or local Doctor.

You can also use over-the-counter creams, ointments or suppositories but do not use it for more than a week. If the symptoms will still occur I again suggest you to meet the local Doctor to confirm the diagnosis.
