Hi, my name is Zach. I am 24 years old and I recently discovered a bb sized knot on my left side of my left testicle. It is a painless knot. But I was wondering the chances of it being cancer, or if I should make a dr apt as soon as I can, I also have a history of lympnoids in my lower stomach if that has any thing to do with any thing or not idk. But my question basicly is should this knot be something to be really worried about and something I should not put on the back burner. Thanks for your time and help.
Hi. The painless swelling on the left testicle without any pain and the presence of lymph nodes in the abdominal cavity can be due to cancer of the testicle. You are absolutely correct This can be diagnosed by the following: Blood tests for tumor markers like alfa feto proteins and so on. MRI of the scrotum and abdomen as well as biopsy of the abdominal lymph nodes helps and staging of the disease if this is a cancer. If this is not a cancer then you will have to complete the course of medication.
