What Causes Lack Of Energy/sex Drive While On HCG Shots?

my husband has low level testosterone. levels are at 45. should be in 800's. He was first put on androgel which helped about 40 % as fasr as how he felt, but did a sperm analysis and found out he is zero sperm from it. So Reproductive Endo dr put him on HCG shots instead . 10,000 units a week. He is on his third week, I know it takes a while for this to make him feel better, but he says he feels his body is shutting down. What can I do to make him feel better, If I took him to the ER, would they do anything or just say to wait it out. He said he cant take feeling like this anymore. He has no energy and no drive to do anything. Im helpless and need answers.
