What Causes Lack Of Interest In Studies In A Child?
MY DAUGHTER 13 YEARS OLD HAS LOST INTEREST IN STUDIES AND SCORES VERY LOW MARKS. SHE IS ADAMANT AND BECOMES ANGRY VERY FAST. SHE DOESNT LISTEN TO HER PARENTS. CONSTANTLY GETTING COMPLAINTS FROM TEACHERS. WHAT MAY BE THE REASON. KINDLY SUGGEST SOME GOOD DOCTOR IN CHENNAI INDIA
There may be various reasons for your child's lack of interest in studies. It is important to know from when this has started and what exactly her problem is: not being able to follow, not getting interest , something disturbing her at school or any physical ailment. You will need to consult a paediatrician specializing in Developmental-Behavioural Paediatrics or a child Psychiatrist. I would suggest, be patient with your child, try to assess her abilities and understand her problem, do not put her under undue pressure. Please also focus on her other day to day activities and behaviour and try to identify if there is any other disturbing issue or deviation. Best wishes, Dr Chatterjee
