What Causes Lack Of Movement In Baby During Pregnancy?

My wife is in her 33 weeks of pregnancy. She was advised to take 12ml of Betnesol yesterday & day before respectively which we took. Now the problem is that the baby has not made any movement since about last night. Do u think it is some kind of reaction due to the injection or any other reason????

Hello,
The injection does not have anything to do with the movement of the baby, but the fact is the cause for which your consultant felt the need to prescribe the injection, because, it is given when a preterm delivery is expected. Babies do sleep and at such times the mother cannot perceive any movement. Fetal kick count should be recorded at several times of the day and if low counts are recorded, further monitoring becomes necessary. Ask her to do that and take rest as much as possible in the left lateral position and do see her consultant immediately for further suggestions. Take care.
