What Causes Large Bump Outside Eyelid?

Hi my mother n law has this large bump on the outside of her left eyelid and it is closing her eye she has had it for a month and it's not going away , the doctor poked a hole in it and some blood came out but nothing else , what is it and how do I treat it?
