Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

A swelling there can be a contusion, cellulitis or insect bite reaction. If there was no trauma and it was transient, chance of it being insect bite reaction is more, although scalp is not a common site.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
