What Causes Left Chest Palpitations?

i can feel my hear beating when in put my hand on the left side of my chest. is this normal. I have suffered from anxiety in the past and constantly worry about my heart. i feel what i reckon is a pulse when i put my hand on my chest. is this normal??

It is an entirely normal phenomenon and no need to worry about it. In medical term, the thing which you feel is called as apical impulse. Normally it's palpable. Stop worrying about the heart and do regular exercises, relaxation techniques like yoga and deep breathing exercises.
