What Causes Left Hand Muscle Weakness And Atrophy?

my husband has left hand muscle weakness and atrophy. the rest of his body is fine. He has twitching but has twitched all our married life. He did an EMG and the results at first were consistent with radioculopathy. Then the MRI c spine results came out and now one diagnosis is multi focal neuropathy or als. My hubby has bulging discs in c4 and c5, c5 and c6 c6 and c7 and some narrowing.

We are scared out of our minds. Hes a contractor, feels wonderful other than this hand atrophy and weakness, it has not spread to any other body parts that we know of.

what do you think> should we be worried it is als.?
