Currently i m laying down and im having severe chest pains but only on the left side. It s happened before and i m assuming it s just the fact i have GERD which has been flaring up lately. For some reason this pain feels different it s not so much pressure but more of a burning sensation

Thanks for your question on HCM.
As a rule in chest pain, we have to rule out cardiac cause first.
So better to get done ECG first to rule out cardiac cause.
If it is normal than your pain is mostly due to GERD.
For better control of GERD try to follow these steps.
1. Avoid stress and anxiety.
2. Avoid hot and spicy food.
3. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
4. Take proton pump inhibitors.
5. Go for walk after meals.
6. Keep 2-3 pillows undrr head in bed.
