Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Left abdominal pain localized to lower to mid front. Loose stools with gas every morning. Pain has been chronic for about 4 months. Feel inflamed inside that area. Bothers me when moving on particular motions. Sometimes walking or sitting down. Am seeing family physician. CBC and Complete Metabolic Panel within normal ranges. Digital Rectal Exam stool test showed no blood and physical area was stated by doctor as feeling fine inside. Seeing GI doctor Aug 21 after follow up with family physician. I m just at a loss for what is happening to me. The pain is daily and only see relief when laying down at night. Sleep is pretty much undisturbed. Symptoms start after I wake up and become active.
Hi. Read your history and understood your problem. Since you are suffering for 4 months , I hope you have undergone all the investigations other than the ones you have mentioned. I would advise you the additional ones other than those which you have already done. CT scan of the abdomen and Colonoscopy. These will give a diagnosis and you should get a follow-up. I also hope that you have already undergone a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole.
