What Causes Left-sided Chest Tightness While On Eliquis?

Hello. I’m a 33 yr old male on Eliquis 5mg twice a day. It took the second daily dose about 3 hours ago along with 40 mg of Zantac, 20 mg of pravastatin,160 fenofibrate, 4000 IU of vitamin D and a 2.5 mg of linsropil. About 30 minutes after taking them I kinda started feeling tension in my left side chest. How common is Eliquis to cause Chest tightness. I’ve only been on Eliquis for about 25 days

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It is not known to cause chest pain though the side effect profile of medications can vary from one person to then next. It would be best to see your doctor about the chest pain to make sure that it is not due to a serious cause that needs additional treatment. An ECG and other heart tests may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query.
