What Causes Left Sided Lower Abdominal Pain With Constipation?
My daughter has had a pain on her lower left abdomen for 5 days now. We had a sonogram done in the ER and it determined it was not a cyst. The pain remains at a level of 10 unless she takes pain killers prescribed by the ER doctors. She has not pooped since 6 days ago. 3 days ago I gave her castor oil and she had diarrhea 2 times. She has not had any bowels of any sort since then. What is the best way to diagnose this? What could this be?

thanks for posting query at HCM.
given presentation ( pain in left lower quadrant) and if leukocytes are also high on the blood routine, then diverticulitis may be a cause. a CT may confirm it.
further course of action maybe taken accordingly.
also fiber rich diet is advised/ avoid junk food, beverages.
avoid oil rich food.
wish patient good and sound health.
