What Causes Left Sided Swelling In The Calf And Foot While On Insulin?

Yes. I m 71 years. Type 2 diabetic using insulin. About 1 year ago I started experiencing a tenderness at my left calf muscle and later added internal pain in the muscle. Left side only. Recently have been experiencing swelling to the left calf and left foot. I have been tested for blood clots, varicose veins. Also had a test for hep C. Sonogram of the affected area, sonogram of the lower Venus region of both legs, CT scan of left groin area. Nobody can pinpoint the cause of the pain nor the cause for swelling. Care to have a try?
