Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My legs go to sleep sometimes when I sit in an upright position. It's not everytime I try to drive; it comes and goes. I have had a Spinal Fusion of the L-4, L-5 and I believe the S-1 about 12 years ago. I am 51; active and a little scared about this.
Hi, Legs going to sleep is due to vascular and nerve compression. You have to look at the nerve involved and the area involved. Position change and regular movement would keep the circulation moving among blood vessels and nerves. You can take additional supplements like Vit B12 to improve nerve conduction. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
