What Causes Leg Tremor, Hand Numbness, Chest Pain After Smoking Marijuana?
Hey, I was curious about an issue that happend maybe a week ago, I had smoked marijuana and about an hour later when i was waiting for a ride my legs started to shake alot. My hands also went numb. I had heavy chest pain and i had trouble breathing. Now my question is, do you know what mightve happened and/or what caused it to happen? If it was the marijuana or not?
several possibliites. I cannot say in your particular case without an exam AND HYPERVENTILATION will generally cause peripheral numbness. You can't have a pinched nerve go just to both hands on both sides... has to be an overall phenomena hitting nerves in general. Overbreathing changes the ion flows in nerves and causes the nerves to act funny--->numbness. THe hyperventilation in turn comes from a change in breathing rate. This can be due to a wide variety of effects of marijuana on the lungs (asthma, irritation) or on the head (anxiety attack, mild stimulation of stress hormones).
