What Causes Light Headedness, Palpitations And Tingling Sensation In Fingers?

My blood sugar was 120 before dinner. It is almost 2 hours later and blood sugar is at 145. I feel jittery and lightheaded. I'm also having palpatations and tingling sensation in my fingers. I do have high blood pressure but took my meds before dinner. My vision is also blurring a bit.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your blood sugar levels prior to dinner and 2 hours later are within normal range. If you are feeling jittery and lightheaded, then, should measure blood pressure, record the results to report it to your doctor.

I also advise to get an appointment with cardiologist to run further cardiac tests :
- ECG
- cardiac echo
- holter monitoring

to evaluate your cardio-vascular system.

I also advise to run further blood tests :
- fasting blood glucose
- HbA1C
- complete blood work
- lipid profile testing

to evaluate your health condition further.

All the best!
Dr.Albana
