OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question. Light flow in periods can be due to hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism or can be due to uterine pathology like tuberculosis or intrauterine adhesions.
In such conditions, ultrasound is usually normal.Pain during the periods can be due to uterine pathology or pelvic infection.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated( hormonal profile and endometrial biopsy, if required) and get treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
