OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Irregular periods can be due to hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease. However, if you are having delayed periods, then pregnancy should also be ruled out by urine pregnancy test.Cause of spotting can be pregnancy or any local lesions in cervix or vagina including cervical cancer.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined and, investigated including pap smear and get properly treated.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
