What Causes Light Pinkish Spotting After Sex?

Hello.. I ve been noticing that I ve been feeling pressure in my pelvic area & that after I wipe, I have a light pinkish spotting. I ve been this way every since I ve had sex with my boyfriend.. Which was 2 days ago. We re both certain that he didn t ejaculate inside of me. I feel as if it s just the effect of the sex because it may have been too rough.. Idk though. I really do need some advice!!

Hello,

I can understand your concern. During sexual intercourse, female vaginal glands secrete lots of fluid which is white in colour. Along with it, if few drops of blood mix, the colour becomes pink.

Bleeding may be due to trauma during intercourse as the most obvious reason. If you will apply a lubricant before sex in future, this bleeding can stop.

If if seems a persistent problem for a long time, then an examiation by a gynecologist is advised.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
